Taekwondo is an exciting and powerful martial art known for its dynamic kicking and hand techniques. The style of Taekwondo supported by the ATA is known as Songahm Taekwondo, a style specifically developed over 20 years' time by Eternal Grand Master H.U. Lee to make Taekwondo accessible to anyone willing to learn, and to truly reflect Taekwondo and the strength and beauty of its kicking techniques.

| The Songahm curriculum facilitates a smooth progression from one rank to the next, so that students who begin Taekwondo feeling they'll never be able to do a simple block (for example) suddenly find themselves a few years later doing 360-degree jumping kicks with ease. Songahm Taekwondo also focuses on personal development of the mind and body. To say it is just self-defense would be to lose most of the valuable ideas and philosophy behind this ancient art. |
We realize that each student possesses different physical abilities. Size and strength vary with each individual. Once you have acquired a strong foundation in the basics, our program will enhance your physical capabilities and maximize your self-defense skills. You will understand exactly what it takes, mentally and physically, to defend yourself or your loved ones should the need ever arise.
Training in a safe, controlled environment, kids and adults alike can take advantage of the physical and mental benefits resulting from Songahm Taekwondo. Classes focus on taekwondo techniques , fitness and life skills.

Families are provided with a wide variety of opportunities to learn more about each other’s opinions, aspirations, physical abilities, and therefore opening the doors of communication. |
We train our students to the best of their ability. Some students come to us in shape, while others have come to us 100 pounds overweight. Most come to us with limited flexibility. As a student, you are looked upon as an individual, never compared to anyone else. Our instructors will be there every step of the way. All that is expected is a willingness to try.

Students will learn Songahm Taekwndo form patterns incorporating basic strikes, blocks and kicks and one-step sparring combinations designed to teach distancing, targeting and footwork. Form patterns and technique increases in difficulty as a student progresses.
Students learn to use control, focus and combinations while sparring in a fun, safe and positive environment. Sparring teaches application of defensive and offensive techniques while increasing reaction time and encouraging good sportsmanship. Students are required to wear ATA approved safety gear while sparring.
Confidence soars as students use their skills and develop power and persistence to break through boards. Protech Weapons training will improve eye-hand coordination while teaching students how to handle weapons safely through basic strikes, disarms and simple forms.
